How does the "Link Interceptor Marketing Tool" work?
The Link Interceptor lets you “stop” an outbound link for a moment and show a TravelNet offer first. Your visitor clicks “Book here”, sees a short “Before you go…” offer, and can either sign up (and become your lead) or continue to the original link as normal.
Video Explanation will be added shortly!

Step-by-Step Guide
01
Open your Marketing Tool detail page
- Log in to https://app.travelnet.id
- Click the bar chart icon in the left menu to go to My Marketing Tools.
- Click on the tool instance you want to use (or the Detail button) to open its detail page.
02
Go to the Link Interceptor integration
- On the tool detail page, look at the right side of the screen.
- You see different integration options (Embed, Button, AutoPopup, Exit Intent, etc.).
- Click on “Link Interceptor”.
03
Read the instructions in the window
- A new Link Interceptor window opens.
- At the top, you see a short explanation of how this tool works.
- Below that, you see the settings you can change.
04
Set the link text (what visitors see)
- In the field called something like “Link Text”, type the text you want to show on your site.
- This is what the visitor will click.
- Common examples:
- “Book here”
- “See tour here”
- “Check availability”
05
Choose the link style
- In the field “Link Style”, choose how the link should look:
- Button style – looks like a button on your page.
- Normal hyperlink – looks like a simple text link.
- Pick the style that best fits your website design.
06
Add your redirect URL
- In the field for “Redirect URL”, paste the link where the visitor should finally go.
- This is usually:
- An OTA link (Booking.com, Expedia, Viator, etc.), or
- An affiliate link, or
- Another external booking page.
- This link will still work as normal after the TravelNet step.
07
Copy the Link Interceptor code
- In the same window, you will see a code box.
- This is the code that creates the special “intercepted” link.
- Click inside the box and copy the full code, or use the Copy button
08
Open your Website Builder
- In a new browser tab, log in to your website builder (Wix, WordPress, Cornerstone, Elementor, etc.).
- Open the page where you want the TravelNet tool to appear (for example, your home page or a campaign page).
09
Add a “custom code” or “HTML” element
- In your website builder, look at the list of elements or widgets.
- Find an element named something like:
- “HTML”
- “Custom code”
- “Raw content”
10
Add the Link Interceptor to your page
Depending on your system, you can:
Option A: Use a custom code/HTML block
- Add an HTML / Custom code / Raw content element where you want the link or button to appear.
- Paste the Link Interceptor code into this element.
Option B – (Coming soon) Use link-only integration
- Soon, you will also be able to copy just a special link and use it directly in your text or existing buttons, without adding a code block.
- For now, use the code block method.
11
Save and publish your page
- Click Save and then Publish/Update in your website builder.
- Open the page in a new browser tab.
12
Test the Link Interceptor
- Click your new link or button as a visitor would.
- You should see a “Before you go…” style pop-up or step with your TravelNet offer (for example a Dream Trip or eSIM deal).
- Then:
- If you sign up, you become a lead.
- If you click No / Continue, you are sent to the original redirect URL (OTA, affiliate, etc.).
- Your affiliate or tracking link still works as before.
